Women in an Inclusive Economy Please join the Center on Capitalism and Society for a special daylong conference on women's experiences in the economy, the importance women have in the economy, the huge room for greater inclusion of women in the economy, and the importance they will have in the economy in the future. This article is adapted from the conclusion of her book Marx on Gender and the Family: A Critical Study (Haymarket, ), where it appeared in a somewhat different form. Many feminist scholars have had, at best, an ambiguous relationship with Marx and Marxism.

Capitalist Patriarchy and the Case for Socialist Feminism, edited by Zillah Eisenstein, is an important landmark for the women's lib-eration movement.
